Boar's Head Uncured Salame Market Withdrawal

September 28, 2023

Information

Big Y Foods is withdrawing Boar’s Head Uncured Salame due to the product being marked with the wrong sell-by date on the package. The sell-by date on the container is printed as NOV/29/32 when it should have been printed as NOV/29/23. This is the only Boar’s Head product affected by this withdrawal.

Out of an abundance of caution, the withdrawal was issued to inform customers of the incorrect sell-by date.  There is no known health or safety concern with the product at this time.  Upon returning any below listed product to your local Big Y, you will receive a full refund.

The following products are sold at Big Y:

Product Name  UPC Size Sell-by Date
Boar’s Head Uncured Salame 42421-16093 8oz Use by 11/29/23

Consumers with questions may contact Boar’s Head Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm at 1-800-352-6277.
